PremiAir Global, the aircraft sales and acquisition division of the PremiAir Group, has been operating from its Farnborough based offices since 2008 and is now a globally recognised and trusted brokerage firm. With a worldwide client base and experienced brokers capable of handling jet and turbo-prop fixed wing aircraft along with all rotary types, their services encompass every element of aircraft sales, acquisition and brokerage including identifying the most appropriate aircraft type; supplying regular market summaries; sourcing the right aircraft on or off market; arranging full aircraft inspections and technical assessments; assisting with aviation-specific legal matters; introducing financing and insurance options; guidance on the import / export process post purchase; design work, installations and modifications on anything from paint schemes to interior options, entertainment systems and avionics upgrades. All of the above and more are delivered professionally and courteously, with the utmost discretion.
Craig Lammiman, Aircraft Sales Manager, reports a healthy resurgence in the private jet market. “The past 12 months have seen an encouraging recovery in the private jet market, with brokerage demand in particular strengthening with every passing month. Buyers are becoming more specific and more financially aware of their needs therefore our services are becoming more important. Sellers are looking to speed up transactions as, in 2010, the average days that an aircraft remained on the market rose. This increase in brokerage demand has also prompted us to take on a full-time researcher to create and source potential buyers and/or aircraft”.
Aircraft sales have also been buoyant in 2011, with five rotary, seven turbo-prop and three jets sold so far. The portfolio currently available includes Premier 1, Learjet 45, Legacy 600, Citation Mustang, Dassault Falcon, Kingair, Sikorsky S76, Bell 206, Eurocopter EC130, Bell 430 and Eurocopter Dauphin.
Whilst PremiAir Global remains an impartial source of advice independent of all aircraft manufacturers, as a member of the PremiAir Group it is also able to offer owners a uniquely streamlined management package.
“The PremiAir Group is in the highly attractive position of being able to support executive helicopter and private jet owners with a point to point service”, explains Neil Gibson, Director of Charter & Management. “PremiAir Global can assist a buyer with every aspect of the purchase process, from initial identification and sourcing of a suitable machine to ultimately the delivery of that machine to its new owner. PremiAir Aircraft Engineering can provide the full range of inspection, technical assessment and modification services with the option for an ongoing maintenance support package if desired by the client. Lastly, PremiAir Charter & Management offers a tailored operational support service which includes the option to place the aircraft onto the charter market to provide the owner with a return on their investment”.
Gordon Potter, Aircraft Sales Manager, elaborates on this process. “A prospective owner can rely on PremiAir Global to identify the most suitable aircraft that matches their individual requirements and budget. We work closely with the owner throughout the acquisition process to ensure that every step of the way the involvement of different parties - engineering, legal, regulatory, registry and so on – is smooth and efficient. Should that owner then require long-term engineering and/or management support, we will introduce them to our colleagues within PremiAir Aircraft Engineering and Charter & Management, and remain fully involved in discussions to ensure continuity of customer care. The private jet market including private jet management is a growing avenue in particular, with the PremiAir Group actively seeking large cabin acquisitions and management contracts.”
Whilst the past two years have undoubtedly been tough for PremiAir, the strength of the brokerage business and the recovery of the private jet market in particular is another positive sign of what we all hope are more prosperous times to come.
